Overview

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an approach that aims to reduce barriers in education by recognising the diversity of student needs, strengths and experiences.

This course introduces the key principles of UDL and explores how learning environments can be designed to be more inclusive, flexible and accessible. You will learn about the origins of UDL, how it is being applied in further and higher education in Ireland, and why it is important for supporting all learners.

Through examples, case studies and reflective activities, the course will help you understand how UDL can support your own learning and how you can contribute to more inclusive practices within your institution.
