Overview

This course introduces the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a shared global framework for addressing key challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change and sustainable development.

You will explore the core themes of the SDGs, including people, planet, prosperity and partnership, and examine how these goals are interconnected. The course also highlights the role individuals and communities can play in contributing to a more sustainable and equitable future.

Through interactive content and activities, you will develop an understanding of how the SDGs relate to everyday life and how you can take action within your own context.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose and structure of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals
  • Recognise the key themes of the SDGs, including people, planet, prosperity and partnership
  • Understand how the SDGs are interconnected and relate to global and local challenges
