Online course: GenAI for Teaching and Learning: How to do it right? (October 2024)

The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education are delighted to announce that the fully online Open Course GenAI for Teaching and Learning: How to do it right? will run from October 2024.
This free 7 week course is available to all staff currently working in tertiary education in the Republic of Ireland, subject to availability of places. Additional facilitator training is included so that you can become a facilitator of this course and run it in your own institution. A further commitment of five learner hours will be required for the facilitator add-on, in addition to attendance at two extra webinars over 2 weeks.

Learning Outcomes
- Recognise what is meant by the terminology used around GenAI, with a particular focus on its use within higher education.
- Evaluate the use of AI in teaching, learning and assessment with a focus on ‘what, why and how’.
- Explore and reflect on pedagogical practices within the disciplines which incorporate the use of GenAI.
- Design and embed GenAI within your teaching, learning and assessment practices.
