Online course: Advancing Excellence in Evidence-Based Entrepreneurship Education (September 2024)

The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education are delighted to announce that the fully online Open Course Advancing Excellence in Evidence-Based Entrepreneurship Education will run from September 2024. This course has been developed in partnership with MTU’s Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence.
This free 7 week course is available to all staff currently working in tertiary education in the Republic of Ireland, subject to availability of places. Additional facilitator training is included so that you can become a facilitator of this course and run it in your own institution. A further commitment of five learner hours will be required for the facilitator add-on, in addition to attendance at two extra webinars over 2 weeks.

Learning Outcomes
- Reflect on how entrepreneurship practices in different topics can be introduced in an educational context and how they can be best assessed.
- Build knowledge of other non-traditional types of entrepreneurs (women, young, seniors), diverse industries/sectors (arts, environmental sciences…) and methods of validating entrepreneurship.
- Critically assess how the research on the different entrepreneurship forms can enrich entrepreneurship educational practices.
