Overview

This course provides a practical introduction to podcasting, guiding you through the key steps involved in creating and publishing your own podcast.

You will explore how to plan and prepare your content, understand your audience, and develop your ideas into a structured format. The course also covers recording techniques, editing using Audacity, and publishing your finished podcast.

Through a series of lessons, tutorials and interactive activities, you will gain the knowledge and confidence to create a podcast for personal, academic or professional purposes.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the key stages of podcast creation, including planning, production, post-production and publication
  • Identify and plan content for a target audience, using appropriate structure, tone and communication techniques
  • Apply basic recording and editing techniques, including the use of tools such as Audacity
  • Produce and publish a simple podcast, demonstrating an understanding of the end-to-end process
